Declaration - Children/Grandchildren
All my children and grandchildren are blessed and highly favored by God and man. Everywhere the feet of my children/ grandchildren tread today favor, love, peace, provision, and protection is already there to meet them.
My God supplies everything my children/ grandchildren stands in need of today. He hides them under the shadow of His mighty wings; therefore, no weapon formed against my children/grandchildren shall prosper.
The Holy Spirit leads and guides my children/grandchildren into all truth; therefore, they always know where to go and what they need to do concerning their lives. My children/grandchildren are the apple of God's eye; He takes delight in them. The wealth of the wicked is being released into the hands of my children/ grandchildren; wealth and riches shall be in their house, and they shall lack for no good thing all the days of their lives.
My children/grandchildren have been redeemed from the curse of the law of sin and death; therefore, my children/grandchildren are delivered and set free from poverty, sickness, and spiritual death.
The Lord makes them rich and adds no sorrow with it. By the stripes of Jesus Christ, my children/grandchildren are healed. They have been born again and are one spirit with God; they are new creatures in Christ, old things are passed away and all things are new and manifesting in their lives in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
POWER PRAYERS FROM EPHESIANS
Ephesians - Chapter 1
1. Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray for my children and grandchildren constantly, asking You, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give my children and grandchildren spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that they might grow in their knowledge of You, Lord God.
I pray that my children and grandchildren's heart will be flooded with light so that they can understand the wonderful future You have promised to those You called.
Lord, I want my children and grandchildren to realize what a rich and glorious inheritance You have given to Your people. Father God, I pray that my children and grandchildren will begin to understand the incredible greatness of your power for us who believe You.
This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at your right hand in the heavenly realm in the name of Jesus. (Based on Ephesians 1:16-20, NLT).
Ephesians - Chapter 3
2. Father God, in the name of Jesus, I pray that from Your glorious, unlimited resources You will give my children and grandchildren mighty inner strength through Your Holy Spirit. And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in my children and grandchildren's heart as they trust in You.
Father, may my children and grandchildren's roots go down deep into the soil of Your marvelous love. And may they have the power to understand, as all You people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep Your love really is.
May my children and grandchildren experience the love of Christ, though it is so great they will never fully understand it. Then they will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God (Based on Ephesians 3:16-19).
Ephesians – Chapter 4
3. Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray my children and grandchildren lead a life worthy of their calling, for they have been called by You, Lord God. Lord, teach them to be humble and gentle. Help them be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of Your love.
Father, in the name of Jesus, help my children and grandchildren to always keep themselves united in the Holy Spirit, and bind themselves together with peace. Help them to always remember we are all one body, have the same Spirit, and have all been called to the same glorious future (Based on Ephesians 4:1-4, NLT).
4. Father God, in the name of Jesus, I pray my children and grandchildren throw off their old evil nature and their former way of life, which is rotten through and through, full of lust and deception. Lord, instead, I pray that there will be a spiritual renewal of my children and grandchildren's thoughts and attitudes. May they display a new nature because they are a new person in Your likeness — righteous, holy, and true in the name of Jesus (Based on Ephesians 4:22-24, NLT).
5. Father, in the name of Jesus, help and empower my children and grandchildren to put away all falsehood and "tell their neighbor the truth" because we belong to each other. Lord, I pray my children and grandchildren don't sin by letting anger gain control over them. I pray they don't let the sun go down while they are still angry, for anger gives a mighty foothold to the Devil. (Based on Ephesians 4:25-27, NLT).
6. Father, if any of my children or grandchildren are a thief, I pray they stop stealing, and begin using their hands for honest work, and then give generously to others in need. I pray my children and grandchildren don't use foul or abusive language, but instead, let everything they say be good and helpful, so that their
words will be an encouragement to those who hear them, in the name of Jesus. (Based on Ephesians 4:28-29, NLT).
7. Father God, I pray my children and grandchildren don't bring sorrow to the Holy Spirit by the way they live. Lord, enable and empower my children and grandchildren to get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of malicious behavior.
Instead, cause them to be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one an-other, just as God through Christ has forgiven them in the name of Jesus. (Based on Ephesians 4:30-32, NLT).
Ephesians Chapter 5
8. Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray my children and grandchildren follow Your example in everything they do, because they are Your dear children. Help and empower them, by Your Spirit, to live a life filled with love for others, following the example of Christ, who loved them and gave himself as a sacrifice to take away their sins.
Father, in the name of Jesus, let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among my children and grandchildren. Such sins have no place among Your people. May obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes be far from them for these are not for my children and grandchildren. Instead, Father God, let there be thankfulness to You in the name of Jesus.
I ask, Lord, in the name of Jesus, that You give my children and grandchildren understanding that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. Your Word says that a greedy person is really an idolater who worships the things of the world. Father, don't let my children worship anything or anyone but You.
Father, I pray that my children and grandchildren will not be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for Your terrible anger comes upon all those who disobey You. Please keep them from participating in the things these people do in Jesus' name. Help them seek to find out what is pleasing to You, Lord. I pray my children and grandchildren take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness but will expose them the name of Jesus (Based on Ephesians 5:1-11).
9. I pray my children and grandchildren are careful how they live, not as fools but as those who are wise. Father, I pray they make the most of every opportunity for doing good in these evil days. Lord, help them not to act thoughtlessly, but try to understand what You want them to do.
Let my children and grandchildren not be drunk with wine, because that will ruin their lives. Instead, Lord God, let the Holy Spirit fill and control them. Then they will sing Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among themselves, making music to You, Lord, in their hearts. And they will always give thanks for everything to You, Father God, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Based on Ephesians 5:20, NLT).
Ephesians - Chapter 6
10. Father, in the name of Jesus, help my children and grandchildren honor their parents at all times so that they will receive the promise You declared they would receive: a long life, full of blessing (Based on Ephesians 6:1-3).
11. Father, in the name of Jesus, help my children and grandchildren be strong with the Lord's mighty power. Enable and empower them to put on and keep on all of God's armor so that they will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil.
In Jesus name, give them divine understanding and revelation that we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms (Based on Ephesians 6:10-12, NLT).
12. Father God, in the name of Jesus, teach my children and grandchildren how to use every piece of the armor You've given us to resist the enemy in the time of evil, so that after the battle they will still be standing firm. Empower my children and grandchildren to stand their ground, putting on the sturdy belt of truth and the body armor of Your righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News, so that my children and grandchildren will be fully prepared in the name of Jesus (Based on Ephesians 6:13-15, NLT).
13. Father God, in every battle my children and grandchildren engage in, I pray that they have faith as their shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at them by Satan. May they put on salvation as their helmet, and take the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God in Jesus' name.
Lord, empower and enable my children and grandchildren to pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit, and stay alert and be persistent in their prayers for all Christians everywhere in Jesus' name (Based on Ephesians 6:16-18, NLT).
POWER PRAYERS FROM PSALMS
14. Father, I pray that You lead my children and grandchildren in the right path, O LORD, or their enemies will conquer them. Tell them clearly what to do, and show them which way to turn in Jesus' name. (Based on Psalm 5:8).
15. Lord God, uphold my children and grandchildren's steps in Your paths, that their footsteps may not slip. Keep them as the apple of Your eye; hide them under the shadow of Your wings, from the wicked who oppress them, from deadly enemies who surround them in Jesus' name. (Based on Psalm 17:5, 8-9).
POWERFUL PRAYERS FOR YOUR SON
When He Needs God's Salvation
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
John 11:25-26
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
John 3:16-17
What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.
Matthew 18:12-14
LORD,
Thank you for the gift of my son. He has been created by you, and his life has been planned before the beginning of time. Your love for him is greater than I can comprehend. I know it is your desire that he come to a full knowledge of you.
I praise you for all the ways you have revealed yourself to him in his young life.
I pray you would complete your work of salvation in my son. Open his eyes fully to the truth of Christ-his perfect life, his complete atonement for our sins on the cross, and his resurrection that gives us the hope of life forever with you. Give him reassurance when he's doubting your Word. Rescue him from any temptation that might lead him away from following you. Provide wise teachers to instruct him in your ways. Fill him with your Spirit so he may know your voice and power in his life.
Thank you for all of your promises for my son. Let him experience your faith-fulness-that no matter how far he may wander, you will seek him and bring him home. Show that you can be everything to him as his savior, helper, counselor, father, and friend.
Encourage me as his parent when my trust in you is shaken. Let me see my son through your eyes, no matter what sins or spiritual confusion he may wrestle with in his life. Never let me give up hope that he is in your hands.
Let me delight in the knowledge of you so my son can see joy and peace in me. Use me as an example of obedience and faith. Make my words full of praise and prayers, declaring your goodness in every situation we find ourselves in. Use me to lead him closer to you each day.
Thank you for holding my son so closely. Claim him as your own. May he live in you forever. Amen.
When He's Angry
Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger. ... Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
Ephesians 4:26, 31 ESV
Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.
Proverbs 16:32
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.
James 1:19-20
But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
Psalm 86:15
FATHER,
Sometimes my son's anger can explode without warning. It makes anyone within range want to duck and cover before they or their feelings come to harm.
At other times he quietly boils for days as he holds on to resentment toward whatever "enemy" has frustrated his desires.
Either way, his anger alienates him from others and from you.
Soothe my son's spirit and teach him self-control. Give him humility so he is free from the frustration of pursuing his own way in everything. Soften his heart toward others so he can forgive instead of allowing bitterness to take hold.
